Follow-up Comment #1, task #13326 (project administration): as far as i know, it needs to be compatible with GPLv2+, i.e., GPLv1+ is ok, GPLv1-only is not. we could ask rms for special dispensation, but i'm doubtful. any chance of finding an argument about "or any later version"? or contacting
