On the evolution of the project, we're still heading for a release, and ticket are classified accordingly [1]. So far, we didn't fix a milestone for such a release, but we believe it should be in a short timeframe, like several months. Some planned features for the release are: * New scheduler, more flexibility with tasks and threads (done via ocaml-duppy) * libmagic support to check a file's mime in order to avoid detecting jpeg as mp3 files.. (done) * Jack support !! This is partly done. In particular, a branch has been opened featuring a new jack support. Any interested jack user is welcomed to test it, we need feedbacks to finish this right ;-) * Langage evolutions, more externalized functions like request.* -- partly done. David has more informations on this topic :-) * New documentation and website. On this topic, we have a workflow that seems somehow suitable now. So we'll need help to contribute to porting the documentation from the acutal wiki at savonet.sf.net to the SVN. Here too, any help is welcome, even from non developpers !! * Asynchronous shout output. In order to avoid latency caused by network traffic with shout. * And of course fix all major issues reported !! This is not exhaustif, expect other goals from others devels (and perhaps yours if you want to join... :-) When new features will be finished, we'll start a freeze process and wait until all important issue are fixed and eventually release.
