I recommend Ubuntu as well but I personally run mine on CentOS 7 for uniformity
of my web and radio servers. Icecast and Liquidsoap run very well and stable
on CentOS 7 but there isn't alot of documentation about how to install from
repo. As a rule of thumb from a security standpoint I do
ates_shuffle while playlist in

Could you use let's encryt to create the certificate serverside? If you use
their app it will Auto renew the cert or you can use chron job to do it.
