I recommend Ubuntu as well but I personally run mine on CentOS 7 for uniformity of my web and radio servers. Icecast and Liquidsoap run very well and stable on CentOS 7 but there isn't alot of documentation about how to install from repo. As a rule of thumb from a security standpoint I do
