Well again, if there are volunteers, they are much welcome (currently I will
try some new ideas to fasten tree search ;-) ).
Sure, this is much more important.
Is CTS = CT-Art ?

I'm not much in CB/CA either, but a pretty nice feature in
that direction is the almost free definition of keys which
are as far as I understand it, just indicees to the DB.
I use CA from time to time. Whenever I replay some game, which
is in opening phase, I get the tree info (which moves

This site is really nice, even if the interface could be neater.
Unfortunately I don't think they would allow the re-use of their database (I
did not dare asking).
I dont' think the would, but I

The same. Once I have position on the board, information what was

What about matching games? Are they displayed

Hi All,
I have been doing some studying of infinite analysis using engines and how they
differ when running the engine under SCID from running the engine under other
interfaces (I used Shredder8 GUI from Chessbase).
The engine was run via wine in both the SCID case and the Chessbase case. The

Actually, I really _LIKE_ the way scid is using the
windows. I was never a real fan of MDI though and this
point I really don't like in the CB-GUIs I normally check

IMHO better.

I don't like CB GUI either, but Scid is difficult to use
on laptops, with their small screens and on some OSes with
not so clever windows management.
Hm, can't say anything against it if you say that. I admit

Hi,
I commited some code in CVS where Tree window refresh is 20 times faster
(sometimes more !).
Here is the changelog :
- added an option menu for Tree windows : Fast Mode. This will dramatically
reduce the time needed to refresh the tree window but will not handle some
move transpositions. It

Hello,
Right now, I have five (!) Scid program boxes : Main, Analysis,
Database Switcher, Game Notation and Game list is a little annoying.
I can live with that : I like the windows of Scid as they are. But
since we are comparing Scid with other databases, something must be
said about the
I just installed scid 3.6.23 and imported a big pgn database. There
are a few features I'd like.
1. Some form of multiple selection in the game list window and
commands to copy selected to clipbase, delete selected, and set filter
to selected. I think a checkmark field would work well, but also
