Steve,
I've just noticed that the issue with losing keyboard focus appears to
happen to me when Stockfish has exhausted the cpu capacity. Pausing
Stockfish or clicking on the Save button allows me to regain focus.

My memory is slow these days but I do think I've seen the same faults
appear myself, both the focus and the popup but I'll be blowed if I
can reproduce them now. Something for me to look out for anyhow!
