Regarding the previous email, I've isolated the problem to tcl 8.6.8,
downgrading to tcl/tk 8.6.7 eliminates all the issues. 

Strangely enough, while scidb segfaults against tcl 8.6.8, the original scid
works fine (tested with version 4.6.4).
