CPS College Fair 
Leading Colleges and Universities across the nation welcome students to
learn more about college admission policies and information at a
CPS-sponsored college fair to be held at Navy Pier, October 26 – 27. CPS
administrators will also have workshops and information to help parents and
students through the college application process. Free and open to the

"The Gates Millennium Scholars"
The Gates Millennium Scholars award program is aimed at increasing the
number of low-income African Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, American
Indian/Alaska Natives, and Hispanic Americans enrolling in and completing
undergraduate and graduate degree programs.  Application deadline: early

"ThinkQuest Junior"
ThinkQuest Junior, sponsored by Advanced Network and Services, Inc.,
encourages teams of students in grades four through six to create
educational Web sites on a variety of subjects.  Check this Web site in
October for updates on 2002 registration information.  Application
