Hi-
Sorry for such a simple question; couldn't find the answer through search:
How do you launch the Users Groups GUI from the command line?
(I need it for some remote management-- doing what I need to do directly
via the command line is too tedious.)
Thanks,

Hi-
I am totally stumped and at a complete loss on this one.
In an 'old school' manner (a.k.a poor man's grid engine), it is a common
practice (at least for me) to open multiple terminal windows on a
mullti-core machine. Submitting a job in each terminal window will send it
to a core which is
Thanks for all of the suggestions.
To recap:
1. I'm not sure why my claim that running jobs in several terminal windows
will automatically be distributed to the next least used core (and it
will run at 100% until the job is done. I have be doing this for years w/o
ANY special coding or using any

Hello-
I am having unparalleled (no pun intended) problems getting SGE 6.2 to run
under SL 6.1. I have consulted with others who have quite a bit of
experience using SGE on an earlier version of SL, and we cannot determine
why it won't run.
Before I list the nature of the problems, I though I

In the case #1, you should be able to get SGE to run once you install
the necessary 32 bit compatibility libraries, or (recommended) switch
to a 64 bit version of SGE 6.2.
In the case #2, you are going to be out of luck...

Hi Alex-
While I am not committed to the ATI proprietary drivers, I have been forced
to use them for a number of reasons.
If you haven't noticed, since March, every month (if not more frequently),
ATI releases an update as a rule. It is an unnecessary and very
time-consuming effort. Other than
the Elrepo pages
for documentation of late, but several months ago it was deficient and, to
some degree, misleading.

Hi Phil-
My intent was not to create frustration. Below I have pasted the most
relevant excerpt from our exchange several months ago. After that exchange,
and some success with the ATI drivers, I had to move on to new projects.
