Hi
I cannot find the Device Manger and Hardware Browser in SL6. I read they
used to be in the package hal-gnome, but the package does not seem to
exist. They are mentioned in the TUV deployment guide.
Does anyone know it they exist and what package they are in?
Thanks
jon
Hi
I have just noticed that libguestfs-winsupport package is missing. I
presume that is to do with TUV policy. I was just playing around trying
to mount a KVM guest hard drive. It is not important to me, i just
thought i would mention it.

I had a problem with Brasero today, I created a data project it created
the iso file, then when it tried to write the cd it quickly went to 100%
apparently succeeding. when looking at the actual cd can see that only a
tiny amount of data has been written, and it cannot be read by the
computer.
Sorry about that i think it was my mistake, i think it was allready a
broken cd, and it was set to just create the iso image. i got confussed,
i though it was creating the cd but it was just creating the iso image.

I found this mathematics software. It is very big in size (about 1GB

Can anyone give some hint to using it and what task can it compute?? :-(

I have setup samba(file and print sharing) for KVM i will include the

Hi
Also the cd image mentioned by william scott provides guest network and
disk drivers. I think in the current version of kvm without spice just
use the vga driver.

are using selinux. see the TUV documentation.
set selinux using the following comands, in my example my folder
is /home/jon/samba_share.
//set the selinux linux property
/usr/sbin/semanage fcontext -a -t samba_share_t

Hello,
This follow-up is a bit late, but I wanted to confirm Troy Dawson's

The problem I found was that the file

Hello,
I can recommend three yum plug-ins that I've added to my SL4.6 workstation:
1) yum-fastestmirror to speed up downloads.
2) yum-installonlyn to keep the clutter on the hard drive to a minimum.
3) yum-protectbase to keep other repositories (dag) from breaking my
installation.
