Correct. I think they also edit for time as well. Often on dvd you see background story scenes that explain the characters better. Sometimes it is key information that I wished that I had while I was watching the movie! Don't get me wrong. I do enjoy the behind the scenes and additional info. The

Yea I was going to say the same thing. With big budget movies the trailers are actually done before they completely finish the movie and the effects. The best example of this was the Wolverine movie where the trailer was done months before the release date but the effects weren't finished until

The one that really caught my eye for some reason was the movie, The Negotiator, with Sam Jackson and Kevin Spacey. Jackson plays a police negotiator (the guy who talks people out of hostage situations and the like), who's framed for a crime, and resorts to holding several cops hostage as part
