I think that was an issue with the VM I as using. When running it on my laptop
I'm not seeing this issue.

I haven't seen that error before. The titianic dataset is quite small,
so there shouldn't really be an issue.
What parameters are you using?
Can you just post your code? It might be that very high values of C or
gamma result in numerical instabilities.
