[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Cindy Ribet): Is anyone familiar with the traditional
Shetland tune "Land te lea"? I could really use the music for it.
I've never come across it. The nearest to the title I can think of would

I've heard the "Orain a Mhaigdean Mhara" (Lament of the Mermaid) a few
times recently, and I think the reason is that it's been reprinted in
an easily accessible book. Anybody know what?

But what's happened to some of the old fowk? Gary Blair left the list
because there wasn't enough traffic on it, which seems an odd reason
indeed. But what happened to the likes of Philip Whittaker and are you
still there, Chic? Does Erica still listen in? Jan Tappan? Haven't heard
from Timothy

I found this at the Mudcat Cafe/. The Mudcat Cafe/ is the host of the
Digital Tradition Folk Music database. It also hosts a message forum
where people can ask about / for folk songs. Other queries get fielded
as well. Country, blues, pop and jazz lyrics are often requested.
