I can't believe it.. I can still see Donald out of the corner of my eye 
while I was playing the fiddle at a house party, he's sitting there 
smiling with his big cup of tea, nodding his head in approval..  I am 
speechless... Another one of the great old-time players has left us...

I received word last night from Ed Addison in 
Aurora that Donald MacLellan of the famed "MacLellan Trio" of Cape Breton 
and who just recently released a new CD with Doug MacPhee, died yesterday 
(June 11th) in Toronto.  Although hospitalised at the time for 
tests, his death was entirely unexpected. 
 
Sad news indeed.
