sudo aptitude install ubuntu-desktop should do the trick
Use aptitude because it will make it easier to uninstall should u choose..
The /ubuntu-desktop/ metapackage will install the standard Ubuntu
version of Gnome with the appropriate artwork and defaults favored by
Ubuntu.
