Hi there,
I am modifying a script, and I need to be able to store the current
directory, so I can come back to it. I tried
export AMB_TMP=pwd
but it doesnt work, AMB_TMP becomes 'pwd' rather than the current directory.
How would I do this?
Thanks
Allan

Are you using a standard Linux distribution? If so which one?
Mandrake 9.1
I do not use this, I use SuSE
Still no luck :o(
running as init level 5, vnc connects and I still just get the backdrop.
Perhaps I should give up with VNC, unless anybody knows that this is just a
settings problem?

Hi there,
I have got my linux machine now setup and running as a router and mail/web
server. I have it stashed away with no monitor/mouse/keyb so that it is
less ugly to my spare room (or at least for the wife!). I can telnet to it
fine, but I want to be able to get a graphical display of it
Hi guys,
my adsl router/modem just died a few weeks back so I decided to buy a cheap
linux box and make it my router. All seems to working well for now.
Since I had the machine, I decided to add a few toys, like
mail/web/telnet/ftp server and it all is working apart from fetchmail.
fetchmail
fetchmail wont fetch the emails from one of my accounts unless it is run
as
a daemon (I tried using the -a option and putting it in the crontab but it
didnt work). My question is,
fetchmail doesnt work as a daemon either :o( I get this error message

doesnt work.

All,
I have a US Robotics V.Everything modem, boxed, with manual
power supply,
If, by chance, it uses the same as the Stylus 660 I could give you mine - my
printer gave up the ghost a while back and I've kept it for 'spares'
