properly when you choose in Alien::SDL's Build.PL to build SDL libs from sources. In this scenario we are not installing SDL binaries in system location (e.g. /usr/local) but into so called share dir of Alien-SDL distribution (which means sdl-config not being in PATH). -- kmx
