don't be so sensitive.  i agree that the low level volumes are quite beautiful and ambitious and i applaud the band for that.  but it's certainly worth noting that they didn't spring forth fully formed, that they were once sdre fanatics that followed in their idols footsteps a bit too close.  you can all say what you may about the origins of their previous name, how they dressed, etc.  that's fine.  but you cannot deny that they, along with every other band that has an "emo-ish" sound, would even exist as they do were it not for sunny day real estate.  if you question that claim, then i question your grasp on the power of sunny day's music.

The Appleseed Cast had their name as a SDRE lyric, they don't steal SDRE lyrics as their own. And SDRE wasn't the first band to wear suits for shows. The Appleseed Cast are actually a great band, and far from a tribute band. Especially on their Low Level Owl cds

even better is the appleseed cast.  they were originally called, "december's tragic drive."  they even played gigs all dressed up in suits like sunny day did for the diary-era promo photo.  hard to be more of a sdre tribute band than that.
