yeah, dan was the main singer/songwriter, but they didnt get anywhere with that because his voice wasnt that great (this isnt my opinion, his backing vocals are good, and ive never heard him sing alone but im thinking it probably wouldnt sound too great.) so i dont think a solo record of his

i don't think a dan solo record is a good idea. SDRE is one of those bands that is excellent due to the different parts coming together. i really loved jeremy's solo album, but i feel that he is a unique talent that amazingly pulled it off in a different direction. maybe it's just me, but

I would like to add something. People have to remember that Sunny Day started as Dan and Nate writing songs together, THEN they added William and Jeremy. Since Nate's gone, Dan's the only original member left of the creative focus that culminated in Sunny Day Real Estate. I think a harder,

hello all, I'm not sure if Dan and a solo record would be good or not. Jeremy's solo record was great, but it isn't a whole lot like sdre as a group. maybe dan would be completely different than sdre and be great. but we don't know what he would want to sound like. he could make a whole album
