Hey,
I'm pretty sure that when your that big you
don't need a demo tape. I'm in a band seeking a label and I believe this
is how it works: First of all the best way to get signed is when a
label comes to you. I think that you only need a demo if
it is your first time being signed. To give the label a good idea of your
sound on tape as compared to live. For a band as big as sunny day,
especially since they are coming from an independent label they don't need a
demo. The major label has their three full lengths to work from.
What probably happened is that time bomb records probably got sdre's latest
album....knowing that they finally got back together saw a lot of
potential in them (with such devoted fans) and sought out sdre's managing
team. I bet then from their they just started working out a
contract....they no that whatever sunny day does next it's going to be good!!
after three amazing albums!!
