Re: [seisan] Seisan: Compiling under Linux CentOS

2018-02-12 Thread Christian Joseph M Clarito

Hello Mark,

Just to add, if you want to compile season explorer in Centos, also tested in
Fedora:

1.yum install qt4-devel qt-webkit-devel
2. cd $SEISAN_TOP/SUP
3. gunzip se-source.tar.gz
4. tar xvf se-source.tar
5. cp ../LIB/seisan.a linux/
6. qmake-qt4 se.pro
7. edit line 18 in Makefile to look like:
LIBS = $(SUBLIBS) -L/usr/lib64 /home//$SEISAN_TOP/SUP/linux/seisan.a
-lgfortran -lfontconfig -lQtWebKit -lQtGui -L/usr/lib64 -L/usr/X11R6/lib
-lQtCore -lpthread
8. make
9. cp -v se ../PRO
10. se &

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Christian

Hi Mark,

It?s been a while since I?ve done it, but I have successfully installed SEISAN
on CentOS 6.5 using the instructions under 3.1. I do vaguely remember having
some difficulty because it required a legacy version of Qt, though. I don?t
know if that?s still the case.

Dear Seisan Forum,

I see under the link http://seis.geus.net/software/seisan/node17.html there is
information for installing Seisan under Windows (/Vista/7/8/10), Solaris,
Redhat Linux and MacOSX. Is it possible to install on a Linux CentOS system?
Also, interested installing SAC2000 to facilitate stacking.

Thank You,
mark

Re: [seisan] Seisan: Compiling under Linux CentOS

2018-02-09 Thread Carpenter, Seth
Hello, Mark,

Yes, it is possible. I am running SEISAN on various CentOS 64-bit systems,
including Centos 6.9 and Centos 7.4

I recommend not using the latest SEISAN version (v10.5), as it is buggy on my
systems. But, the older version that I was previously using, v10.3, worked
great.

I also run SAC2000 on these systems. You can obtain SAC from IRIS:
https://ds.iris.edu/ds/nodes/dmc/software/downloads/sac/

Best,
Seth
