Further testing of the major xs-config revamp coming for xs-0.4 *the install notes have changed a bit...*
- The install should be similar to 165 and earlier builds. Do complete the install steps (domain_config, ejabberd...) - It can install on small disks (5.5GB minumum) so fire up your qemu (but note that the install is _very_ slow under qemu). - FIXED: Right after the initial boot, named and dhcpd do _not_ come up, do - Right after the install, the OS updates rsync server won't work because subdirs of /library/xs-rsync that should be owned by xs-rsync are not. This us due to a nasty bug in the livecd installer script that ships with Anaconda - see http://dev.laptop.org/ticket/8077 for the reasons why. Two possible workarounds: Reinstall the package yum remove xs-rsync; yum install xs-pkgs Fix the ownership chown -R xs-rsync.xs-rsync /library/xs-rsync/{pub,tmp,state} I'm off to sleep now -- this anaconda bug has been a time sink - cheers, m -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- School Server Architect - ask interesting questions - don't get distracted with shiny stuff - working code first - http://wiki.laptop.org/go/User:Martinlanghoff _______________________________________________ Server-devel mailing list Server-devel@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/server-devel
