Looks like you need http://partner.atheros.com/Drivers.aspx - grab the
linux driver.

Here are the steps taken
Download AR81Family-linux-v1.0.1.14.tar.gz from here. (downloaded file should
be .tar)
Unzip the .tar and read the readme and follow the numbered steps
Rename the .tar to AR81.tar copy to flash drive then

Oh sorry, I assumed you were talking about the wireless adaptor. The XS
distribution is getting quite old now, so it's perhaps unsurprising it
doesn't support modern hardware.
