Now that the head gasket has decided to go, it's time for me to start my engine/trans swap. With that in mind, I plan on getting the parts that I need out of the car this weekend. I am going to retain the T-2/555 and the electronics/harness, rad/intercooler, but everything else on the car is up

if the turbo is in fact the culprit, it is because the internal seals are shot. Cost is that to rebuild the turbo, as well as remove and reinstall to the engine. www.turbosunleashed.com will be your best deal. 300-450. However, it's very possible that your problem is valve guides. Worn valve

The immediate expense is for the rebuilt turbo, figure about $350 give or take. Contact some of the usual vendors about rebuilt turbos and options. You will probably need a headgasket set, probably head bolts as well, exhaust flange bolts and turbo oil and water lines. This is assuming there
