I have a complete engine out of a 88 Daytona C/S. Turbo is bad (broken
shaft) with a 523 tranny, I think it's got 3.55 gears, I can't remember.
It's still on the subframe. I just have to get rid of it, make me some
offers. Just don't have any room for it and it needs to be moved, come pick

Hi All
I got my new Shelby Lancer home Sunday so now its time to find the

YES! Stop what you're doing!
Use a grinder and take off the plates that are welded into the oil pan. When
they are off, you'll see all the gritty stuff caked behind where they were.
I did that AFTER having my oil pan hot tanked (twice) when I rebuilt the
engine in the Spirit, and still ended up
Hi all
What's with the radio in SL? If I disconnect the battery I need a code to
get the radio to work. or is there someway around this? The old owner didn't
have the code but the battery has been dead for a long time and the radio still
works.

I have an '87 LeBaron, and put on a '93 complete lower suspension. Only to
find out they moved the K-frame at some point in later years, and the '93
control arms locate the wheels too far forward now. (will rub splash gaurds)
Before I head to the yard, I wanted to recheck I'm getting the
He doesn't have that. Only the 2.5 common block cars got that.
I would strongly suggest a crank scraper and/or windage tray be
installed along with some sort of baffling in the oil pan. Some simple
baffles are cheap/easy to make and install.
If you look at the top of the oil pan out of the
No, you need the newer style uprights as well. They changed the
location of the hubs in the uprights as well.

Im fairly certain that the radio should have a small internal battery which
remembers the code, most radios do. If your comfortable working with
electronics just open it up, remove said battery (or look for a reset
switch) and keep teh battery out, or switch pressed for 60 seconds, that
should

Not really, IMHO A neon guy blew up his 2.4 turbo swap in his car
just by running sticky street tires and driving a bit spirited into some
freeway onramps. The forces todays contemporary tires street can
generate can equal yesterdays race tires. Those same forces can and

Hello All,
I have an air conditioning question:
I converted over to R-134A in my 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T. It seems to work
great at idle. However, whether I'm moving or not, when the revs come up
over 2000 RPM, the A/C doesn't work very well at all.
Actually, if I'm cruising in 5th gear with
