The bar inside the rear axle does act like a sway bar.
Take one wheel and tie it to the ground, lift the other up. What is
twisting? The cross channel. Now add a tube/bar into the channel.
Harder to twist, right? So now the two wheels are trying harder to stay
at the same level. That is
I fixed mine by gently sanding with 600 grit paper, then clear coating
it. Looks pretty nice. You end up with a brushed aluminum looking
disc, with recessed black lettering.
-Shift knob for A555 that doesnt rub off on your hand (looked at every
local
yard)
The u-joint is just a small Dodge V-8 driveshaft u-joint.
The only other wear part is the rubber mount.
Do not believe it is available separate? Anyone?
