that didn't help either.

I unstalled by staged install (normally I put everything into
/usr/local/pkg/$PKG/ and then graft it into /usr/local, that worked til
now for 20 years or so), and did a direct install into /usr/local, now
it works.

No idea what was the problem, though ... sorry for the noise

I think the issue is that the schemas are compiled into
/usr/local/share/glib-2.0 and GSettings does not search there. You can
verify this by setting GSETTINGS_SCHEMA_PATH to /usr/local/share/glib-
2.0/schemas

I am compiling from master with your simple patch to allow exiv 0.10.4
but starting shotwell terminates with
