I've cloned shotwell onto my Fedora 27 machine and followed the INSTALL
instructions which appeared to complete successfully, however when I
try to run shotwell I get:
shotwell: error while loading shared libraries: libshotwell-plugin-dev-
1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such

I suppose you built with meson? Older mesons seem to have a bug where
the symlinks are not installed.

I'm playing around with a Python GTK program to work with my Shotwell
data.
Works fine. I can display images, search for tags, etc, make changes to
things - all works well.
