Re: [Shotwell] Shotwell 0.27.1

Long story short: What would be your suggestion for handling that
situation? Or, how unstable is unstable? ;) Any chance to cut a stable
release earlier?

0.27.0 is broken and will corrupt your data on camera import. 0.27.1
should be ok.

I will break the database scheme at some point.

The reason I'm asking is this: The package was updated to 0.27 for
Fedora Rawhide in June. Now, Fedora 27, which was branched from
Rawhide in August, and is about to be released end of
October/beginning of November, inherited that package. So we will end
up with 0.27.x in Fedora 27, or we would have to downgrade the package
now (which brings its own set of problems). The expectation in June
probably was (it wasn't me who updated the package, so I have to
guess) that 0.28 would come with Gnome 3.26, as you said.

Long story short: What would be your suggestion for handling that
situation? Or, how unstable is unstable? ;) Any chance to cut a stable
release earlier?

OK, Thanks.
I will stay with 0.26.3 until 0.27.x becomes stable.

Unstable usually might be well unstable, i.e. crash, experimental
features, things that might break your data, incomplete docs and

and an *unstable* release like this one?
As a simple and contented user of 0.26.3, should I update?

No. Unless there's a feature you really, really miss.
