#1] Starting about the time I moved back to UT I began experiencing network problems, although I think this is due to software on my computer and not the move back to UT. Specifically, I get this error on whatever terminal I'm currently using:
NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out eth0: transmit timed out, status e4660000, CSR12 000050ca, resetting... My connection will be fine, and then all of a sudden it will quickly degrade to .1-2kbps of bandwidth and that error will be displayed every few seconds. Rebooting will often fix the problem for a while, although sometimes I will reboot and again have a horrible connection (in which case I have to keep my computer turned off for a while before booting again). #2] I randomly get the error message: spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7 It is usually displayed once or twice while booting up and then rarely when I'm using a terminal. It's not a big deal, but fixing it would be nice. #3] During bootup I receive this error message a good 20+ times: modprobe: can't locate module <someModule> modprobe: Note: /etc/modules.conf is more recent than /lib/modules/2.4.19/modules.dep Recompiling and re-installing the kernel doesn't solve this problem. I also tried switching from lilo to grub but that didn't fix it; neither did running update-modules. This problem isn't doing any damage from what I can see, but I would like to get it fixed. My specs: Debian 3.0 -> unstable Athlon cpu Macronix NIC using tulip compiled into a 2.4.19 kernel ReiserFS partitions (except /boot, which is ext2) Thanks, Chris _______________________________________________ Siglinux mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.utacm.org/mailman/listinfo/siglinux
