Hello Neville, Distilled water has a specific gravity of 1.0. So, if you could measure a specific amount, EIS should have a higher specific gravity. I would have to think about translating between specific gravity and PPM, but there may be something there. Tom From: Neville

Hi Tom, Unless it's an old term, hydrometers used in photography are called 'argentometers'. I'm trying to track down someone who's familiar with photography in the days of old so I can ask about them. From info I've found, 999 silver has a sg between 10.4-10.6, usually expressed as 10.5.
