An EC meter is sort of like an Ohm meter, but is calibrated to measure
conductivity per cubic centimeter using a high frequency AC current
source [Sort of jiggles the ions rather than sending them scooting or
making new ones] to avoid adding the meters influence to electroysis,
whereas,

There is an EC meter on E Bay for $17.90 plus shipping.
Is it any good.

My dumb questions for the day :-)
Is it possible to make safe and effective collidial silver using high
quality filtered water as opposed to steam generated distilled water?
If so are any of the home filter units of sufficient quality to allow this?
Thanks,

Oh don't say that Ode! I have a TDS meter which reads 000 when put in
my double distilled water. Do you think this is incorrect? Is it the
Hanna meter which is more accurate? dee

I use my R/O's water. I have a TDS meter and check the purity. Its worth the
$75 in the long run to know your water is pure enough.

I think CS might be better straight off the presses, so to speak..just a
hunch.
But after about 12 to 24 hours, it'll stay pretty much the same for years
if it was any good to start with.
If the CS has any color to it that color will deposit on the container

I have some that is well over 3 years old with no change in
measured PPM using a PWT meter. Still crystal clear and colorless.
I'm trying to see what the shelf life is. Properly made CS appears
to have unlimited shelf life.

Mike,
I have various amounts ranging from 20 to 44 uS. They have only
dropped a couple of uS in that time. I measure them every six
months to a year or so. No specific schedulejust then I think
