Sorry it has taken so long to reply. We lost electricity for a couple of days due to a storm and this is the first chance I have had to reply. I would like to thank you all for the replies on the list and privately. There is a lot to go through and I am going to look into it all. I had no idea there would be such a large response and so many different things to look into. Thanks again.
And on a side note. Sorry for getting some of you riled up about the multimeter question. The directions were practically on a bubble gum wrapper and I don't know anyone in electronics so I asked here. Guess I need to take a beginners course in night school so I can get the basics down.
