Hi Deborah, I take the brine on occasion made from the himalyan rock salt. http://www.life-enthusiast.com/salt/ That reminds me I need to order more. and on the food i always use the real salt. http://www.realsalt.com/ I also have the Celtic sea salt but havent used it much Take care, V
