I have noticed that some of the messages from people wanting to unsubscribe have typos in the "unsubscribe" part, which may have some effect? Also, as you mention, the body of the email was usually not empty - perhaps because they despaired of using the special address and used the list address hoping Mike would spot it and unsubscribe them from his end. It was good of you to test it from both ends, so to speak.

Then I sent an email to silver-list-requ...@eskimo.com with the word
unsubscribe in the subject line and nothing in the body of the

unsubscribed.

I am not putting any quotation marks around anything and making sure
that request is in the subject line and the body is empty.

This worked for me just now. Both for subscribing and unsubscribing.

Thanks but I am beginning to think that we who are trying to unsubscribe
are thought to be backwards or something.

I have tried many times, and the emails come back undeliverable.

Thanks you for your help but if it were just one having an issue with
unsubscribing, the tip might help but there are quite a few who run into the
same problems.

To Unsubscribe:

To stop receiving the list as individual e-mails, start a new e-mail message
with the body empty and the word 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field and send
it to:

silver-list-requ...@eskimo.com ...or click here.

I can't help you unsub from here, but if your email client has a tools
section, under that you should find 'message rules'. There you can set it
up so that anything coming from silver-list goes right into your trash bin
and you won't even see the messages. Your client will send the messages
there instead of your inbox.
