Greetings Silver Listers, I want to step in and again remind you to limit the Off Topic discussions to just a few posts per thread, and to migrate any subjects you want to continue to talk about to the Off Topic List, which is linked below.
Looking at the thread Subject lines, there's not a lot of blatant off- topic stuff running, but it is *within* the threads that we're going awry. That said, the Nostradamus and plague thread is pretty sure to be creeping over the edge! <grin> In particular, I'd like to remind Christine, Garnet, Nenah, and the few others who've participated, that the esoteric and spiritual concepts you've been bringing up should not become the focal point of your messages. This is no more a place for teaching those theories of reality than it is a place for Bible teaching or political analysis. I say this not to stop completely your referencing these ideas, but to minimize the extent that you impose them on others of different belief or orientation. Meanwhile, I'd like to remind David and anyone else tempted to police discussions on the list that the *proper* way to register your objections is to contact me privately in e-mail, just as another list member did this morning. (Thank you!) I'm the List Cop and I don't cotton to any competition. <cracks knuckles and scowls> The better we keep the signal to noise ration on the list, the more useful it is to those who are seeking the good information we're known for here.
