Is turps.., turpentine? And does it have to be any particular
brand/kind??? I'd like to buy some to have on hand but am leery of getting
something that might not be the right stuff.

call it genuine turpentine, Americans call it 100% gum spirits of
turpentine or something like that. I got mine at a hardware store for

If I remember correctly, in an earlier post someone wrote that there are
natural turps and synthetic turps. They said it is important to get the
natural turps.
