You don't necessarly want higher PPM of cs. You will want the finest,
smallest particles. You can make the particles of your home made CS much
tinier by adding 1 drop of 3%H2o2 to each 2 oz. of CS. it is truly amazing
how tiny the particles

Depends on how it's made and how strong.
20 PPM will generally have a higher percentage of the silver in particle
form than 15 ppm.
5- 10 PPM may not have any or very few.
Also, if the particles are larger, the 'number' of particles will be

Others might not.
Frank Keys site shows breakdowns of various commercial preparations, some
get 97% ionic at 20 PPM, I believe. Some of the weaker products get 100%

If I remember, phone lines are current controlled to 20
milliamps..presumably so that the wires won't start fires if left shorted.

Constant current still depends on current 'draw' and will ramp up to the
limit just like not using the circuit. It will go under 1 ma, just not over
1 ma. The LED never gets 'very' bright but it will be dimmer in better
water. A standard 20 milliamp max LED does just fine.

If anything 'can' happen in a charged ionic environment, it will.
If I use my well water, even with current control, it makes blue grey crud.

No, they don't get at all hot.
3906 transistors are rated at 40 volts max and 1 amp hooked up to 1/4 watt
resistors.
Nothing gets hot. Not even warm up to a 6 milliamp draw were I to set the
current that high and short the out put. Then it gets warm.
