Re: [Sisuite-devel] How about turning sshd on?
You can turn on sshd. That's part of how installs over ssh are performed. See "Section 3: SSH settings" in examples/local.cfg. Have a look at that, then make any suggestions for improving it. The current implementation is geared towards installs over ssh, but it could easily be modified to be available for more generic use. As a matter of fact, one improvement that could be made pretty easily is the ability to specify the location of the ssh private key (read the example file first). It could be made a variable in the system, that could be specified as a kernel append parameter: SI_SSH_PRIV_KEY=/path/keyfile Cheers, -Brian Thus spake Jeremy Enos ([EMAIL PROTECTED]): I think that would be quite useful too... perhaps just start sshd in the shell out routine? Re: [Sisuite-devel] How about turning sshd on?
Security. Would it be a common password to all systemimager installs, or use a ssh key from the systemimager server? I'd vote for the key.. but could you ensure that the admin has a key setup? Or use the password hash for root from the image server for the image kernel? Bernard Li wrote: How about turning on sshd (on the node) during imaging?
