New versions of all the skarnet.org packages are available.
This is mostly a bugfix release, as shown by the *.1 version numbers.
It just squashes a couple build bugs that prevented proper
cross-compilation.
If you are not cross-compiling skarnet.org packages, you can mostly
ignore
this release.
The only new features are in skalibs and execline: the latter gets
some improved POSIX compliance.
A common complaint that some distributions have with execline is that
execline's 'cd' binary isn't POSIX-compliant. To address this complaint,
a new --enable-pedantic-posix option has been added to execline's
configure.
When this option is given, a posix-cd binary is built, and cd becomes a
symlink to posix-cd. (posix-cd is still usable as a regular execline cd:
when a command line is given after the directory to chdir to, posix-cd
chainloads into that command line.)
I hope this change encourages distributions to properly install
execline binaries into /bin, instead of using broken workarounds.
