Iliya,

Forward and backward search was working very will till upgrade to Sierra. 
Hence, I do not think the problem is in my configuration. That is why I expect 
the issue is resolved somehow in the next version.

Skim is an outstanding application!! not talking about the TEAM - absolute
experts! Forward and Inverse Search, however, is not a Skim issue. You may

most (i don't how how many...) of the tricks that work for the real Emacs
installed on a Unix/Linux machine will work and help on carbon copy Emacs

keeping up to date the “Skim”. I will be waiting for the next version.

Attached is a slightly altered version of the display line script. (you need to make sure it’s executable). If you pass forward search through this instead of the display line script embedded in Skim it should work with 1.4.22 in most situations.
