We set pidmax in /etc/system to 99999, and our application allocates shared memory based on the pidmax.
Due to OS-5726 ( bump pid max to a reasonable modern value): https://smartos.org/bugview/OS-5726 https://github.com/joyent/illumos-joyent/commit/43b3bab58788e30af95d6dd211800182624ede96 It overrides our setting on a 512G mem system and set pidmax to 999999. Too bad, our apps kept crashing. Setting our pidmax to 99998 should work, but does it ring a bell that OS-5726 does not respect user's setting in /etc/system? Thanks. ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
