Re: [smartos-discuss] KB80420 Error (Keyboard)
What type of keyboard are you using? I’ve had problems with a USB 2.0 keyboard (newer, slim Apple keyboard), but USB 1.1 keyboards work (old, thick plastic Apple keyboard). Everytime the bootup stucks. So i turned the verbose mode on to look where it hangs. The boot process stops at kb80420 is /pci@0x0/isa@1f/i8042@1,60/keyboard@0, as you cann see in the screenshot in the attachment. I found some threads in the archives to this error but no one had a solution, so I hope you know the error and might help me. Re: [smartos-discuss] smartos networking - kvm - public bridge
If you control the router, use the MAC address of the VM to tell the router to give it a fixed IP address. The VM uses DHCP to acquire the IP address, and the router gives it the same address every time. Re: [smartos-discuss] Strange problem with df
Sorry - false alarm. It’s hanging due to a stale NFS mount. Once I cleared the stale mount, it ran cleanly. Again, sorry for bothering the list with this. I tracked it down to a “df -h” command that is executing in the script. When I execute “/usr/bin/df -h”, even from the command line, the program hangs after printing everything out. My last download was in April, and that worked just fine. Anybody else seeing a similar problem with df?
