I am trying to maintain a USB raw image file attached to a VM during a reboot.
The problem is that the USB disk is seen as the 1st physical drive by the BIOS so using "c" for the boot order it will try and boot from the USB always. It doesn't matter what I specify as the index of the drive or if I use "boot=on/off" or use "bootindex" on all of the drives to try and change the order, its ignored and the USB always shows up as the 1st disk. What options are there, if any, to boot from a 2nd drive that is not a different type of media?
