I had the same problem. TSLIB is not used, because udev installs evdev
as driver. That was my solution:

but yesterday i broke my X on my _local_ computer by upgrading debian/sid.
beside others i noticed (after X was starting again) that the mouse
pointer was always drawn to the center of the screen, ie when moving the
mouse it jumped back like a rubber

from wrong places.
