Hi Ranulph
I have a client with the same problem, we're getting the laptop replace after
none of the troubleshooting steps worked.

Has anyone any experience of the new generation of small fairly inexpensive
projectors with an LED light source?
Apple are selling one for about £250 and has some reasonable reviews. Maplin
have some as well.
I would initially be looking to project Keynote presentations to small (10-20

Nick,
I've got a couple of Acer C20 Pico 'pocket' projectors running on Macs and they
work really well but the room does need to be a little darkened (doesn't have
to be pitch black…) They were under £200 from Amazon.

Thanks John, that's very helpful not least because I had forgotten to look on
Amazon and have found several other similar ones. So will do some in depth
research but the portability, LED lights (which last 20K hours) and being
relatively cheap has suddenly opened up new possibilities of sharing
I've used a few Optoma PIco projectors and they've been great so far.

Thanks Sam.
It's an Optoma one that Apple are selling on their website (the PKA21 for £249
and not discounted today unfortunately).

Safari and Mail, used extensively, and no problems.
Hoping more extensions find their way to Safari in due course, but
totally rely on ClickToPlugin which makes things so much nicer...

I’ve got an Acer K11 which has been good for me and is used for groups of up to

Thanks for that information Tony.
Been watching some You Tube videos on the K11. Not very pretty but with 200
lumens is maybe a bit brighter than the really small projectors? Would that be
a fair comment.
Certainly worth adding to the 'possible' list

I rang Dymo about my labelwriter 320 not working and they sent me an email with
a form to download. They said to send back the 320 and they'd send me a new 450
labelwriter - which they did. Worth a call to the Dymo help desk

Can you explain how a Dymo. Label writer works? It is not clear from their web
page. Do they connect to a computer? If not, how do you write out what you
want on a label? Is it the same address on the label each time? As I write
this I realise that using the label app on the computer means

are awful. People seem to be having all sorts of problems.
Does anyone have

I've never had a single problem with iPhoto 9. If you make a backup of your
iPhoto library before you upgrade then you can always revert.

They connect to your computer via a USB plug and you can download
appropriate software from Dymo web site if you do not have a CD with the
product. I use my Dymo a lot as my printer does not like printing
envelopes so I can print off individual labels as and when I need.

Hi Paul
iCloud is IMAP only, no POP. You could set it up as an IMAP account with a mail
rule to move all incoming mail from that IMAP account to the inbox on your
computer, then just ignore the IMAP inbox.
