Hi, I have worked with Kevlar, and have used 1.5 oz Kevlar on my Micro HLGs. There are several issues you must consider. There is very little difference between Kevlar and FG when it comes to laying up the mold. However, in the mold preparation or perhaps the mold design, I offer 2 suggestions.

Jack - Since weight is probably not much concern in a large model I'd go with 22 gauge wire. You can get it most any town that has an electronics supply shop, Digi-Key is online, Cermark advertised in your mags, maybe even a Radio Shark. Your local hobby shop might even have some - mine does (
