I think the easiest way is to use some foam plugs to hold the tube in place.
Glue it in, and dig them out after your done.

You can either run the teflon tubing on the outside of the boom as is
commonly done on hand launch planes or run it inside using a balsa support
for the tubes as is done on Mantis models. The magic will be a little more
difficult since it has a tapered boom rather than a constant diameter boom
