Try this:
Take packing tape and fold over the amount of non-sticky area you want and
stick it to itself. Press out on a nice flat surface. Cut to 1/4 to 1/2
sticky part (depending on what you are sticking it to) makes a nice gap
seal.

There's a great hinge tape: Frost King from Lowes or Home Depot. It is a
UV stable poly tape used for greenhouses. It's 3 wide, so you do have to
cut it.
I also found that clear Hockey stick tape from Dicks or any other sporting
goods shop is fantastic for both hinge tape and wing tape.
Hi All--
I told all of you that it wouldn't rain on our
parade! We were worried though and so were the promoters of the Rose Parade and
the Rose Bowl. If you saw either of these events on TV you saw our flying
conditions since we are only a few miles east of Pasadena. We saw sun, clouds, a
Just a note on the hockey tape. I bought some at the local ice rink that
didn't work out very well. The backing separated from the adhesive after
awhile. The tape was kind of opaque on the roll and clear in one layer.
Sorry I can't give you a brand name as there isn't one on the cardboard
I will bow in respect for the winner.
In the winter here I am lucky to keep the thermal for 10-15minutes flights
in the cold winter conditions.
-14,5 degrees celcius (6 fahrenheit) just a few days ago and -4 today.
But hey we do fly anyhow!!

Tom,
Thanks for the response. I think the Mylar type is what I am looking for.
The way this seal works is more like a wiper and I'd like the stiffness of
the Mylar. Let me know if you remember where you got it.

Demand was so high last time yet that I thought I would make offer one more

winch runaways due to stuck solenoids, these kits are a great way to

The Kits that Cal offers is cheap, convenient, and easy to install.
