I was in Dallas yesterday, kinda a cool windy day, but very flyable. But I
didn't; was visiting a cousin in Arlington. Will be in the Big D again
tomorrow, D/FW; will let the Big Delta flap it's wings to Salt Lake City, have
dinner with a flyer there, then back on the Delta to Medford, OR and

Li-Poly is the current defacto 'standard' for drive-battery
applications. [EMAIL PROTECTED] weighs 13 oz, and can give it up at 60
amps. Minimal self-discharge, and guys are using them for Rx packs,
along with voltage regulators, in giant scale, and I've seen a 2000mah

I am hearing a lot of talk about lithium-polymer batteries, but I don't know
much about them. What is the real info with lithium-polymer batteries? Can
they be used to replace either Tx or Rx Ni-Cd battery packs for RC

Stock servo wire you find sold is 22 for the heavy guage stuff and 26
for the normal servo wire. 22 guage can be pretty heavy, but no one
"sells" 24 guage servo wire for models.
One thing you can do is use 24 or 22 for the power and 26 for the signal
lead.
One thing you didn't say is what is

Try West Marine. They are all over the place, and focus on nautical
supplies, but they always have a good selection of gel cell batteries
and also West Systems epoxy.

I have what is supposed to be a regulated 12vDC power supply. I'm
currently using it with a 12v garden tractor battery to supply power to
my Triton charger.
Would like to find a place where I can buy a competitively priced gel cell.
Any help out there?

Sorry to be a dumb ass and waste the list's time before
making a thorough online search. I did find that there's
a big difference between entering "Mylar Hinge Tape"
in Google WITH and WITHOUT the quotation marks.

The standard size wire ( 22 or 24 size) is fine. TWIST the wire that goes in
the long runs. You can always add 10pf caps later if you have problems.
Twisting the wire normally cansels out the RF that may be picked up by
wires. If you add the caps put them as close to the Receiver as you can

I know 1/4 fiberglass rods works fine. I get them at Target/K-mart in the
bicyle department. They are the 5ft poles that have flags on the end. They
are bolted to the bikes and stick straight up. You can see them as they go
down the street. If you use carbon you need to go larger.
