Is anyone from Southern California Driving up to the NATS,
would they mind helping take some gliders up with them? or
does someone have a transport container they wouldn't mind
lending out for the airline trip in order to protect some
gliders?

Ok, I've got one. Last summer I was driving from Vancouver to the east
coast and was passing through Vermont. At about 730 on a Friday night, I
came across an exit that said "Colchester". "Hmm", I said to my dog Maddie,
"I know that name". For whatever reason, I swung my rig into the exit ramp
I get mine at a local electronics surplus store for about $12 used or about
$40 new. I buy the used ones because they are removed from X-ray machines
on scheduled maintenance-ready or not. They are still going three years
later, with moderate use on the slope.
